Located in the North County area of St. Louis County, Hazelwood is an outer ring suburb located roughly 18 miles from downtown St. Louis. Due to its location bordering the Lambert International Airport, Hazelwood is home to many of the region’s aerospace, shipping, and international companies. 

Hazelwood also features 17 different city parks, a community center, civic center, skate/BMX park, and the White Birch Bay Aquatic Center. The city is also home to the 812-acre state managed St. Stanislaus Conservation Area which features hiking trails, bird watching and fishing.
